The TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 watch collection traces it’s roots back to the iconic ref. 844 from 1978, a collection of luxury divers watches considered a flagship of the brand. Part of the Swiss watch manufacturer’s early dive watch collection was also a unique monochromatic piece adorned with an entirely luminous dial known as the Night Diver ref. 980.031L. It is this very design that has inspired the TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 Night Diver watch seen here which showcases the familiar white matte opaline surface during the day, but at night glows instantaneous thanks to its fully luminous coating. The rest of the TAG Heuer Aquaracer Night Diver’s dial follows suit to the rest of the Professional 300 series with octagonal markers, grooved detailing and a magnified date window at 6 o’clock.
The movement responsible for fuelling the Superluminova hands for hours, minutes ands seconds and the date complication is the TAG Heuer Calibre 5 automatic winding movement with a frequency of 4Hz and a power reserve of 38 hours. The Swiss made calibre is kept hidden within the 43mm case executed in matte sandblasted stainless steel with a black DLC finish and the iconic 12 sided unidirectional bezel in matte black ceramic. Since the TAG Heuer Aquaracer is a divers watch, the Professional 300 Night Diver provides a 60 minute divers scale on the bezel, a screw in crown and screw down case back capable of a 300 metre water resistant rating and flat sapphire crystal glass with anti-reflective coating. Completing the men’s TAG Heuer watch is a striped black rubber strap and a matching black DLC coated folding buckle.
