This stunning Oris Big Crown ProPilot GMT REGA watch is the second Oris limited edition released in support of the partnership between the Swiss watch manufacturer and REGA, Switzerland’s air rescue service. The stunning design does a fantastic job of bringing both attention and praise to the work that REGA does in the form of Oris’ famous Big Crown ProPilot model. The smooth 45mm grey PVD plated stainless steel case and coin edged bezel are inspired by jet engine turbines while the dial display is reminiscent of an aircraft dashboard, similar to what can be found within the REGA air rescue helicopters.
Armoured within the case of this Oris Big Crown ProPilot GMT REGA Limited Edition watch is the Oris 748 automatic winding movement. This impressive Swiss watch calibre provides centre hands for hour and minutes, an additional 24 hour hand for a second time zone, a subsidiary seconds dial at 9 o clock, enlarged date window at 3 o clock and a healthy power reserve of 38 hours. Each of these remarkable functions are housed beneath sapphire crystal glass and set on a clear black dial decorated with Superluminova on the hands and numerals and the REGA logo at 3 o clock in red. As well as boasting a screw in security crown to assist in its 100 metre water resistance and a special limited edition engraving on the case back, this Oris REGA Limited Edition watch is fitted with a grey textile strap and grey PVD plated folding clasp.
