This breathtaking Bremont U-22 watch is the result of a high profile military project in which Bremont was commissioned to update the original Bremont U-2 watch. For the U-22, the British watch manufacturer had to build the model to specific requirements including a newly developed bezel and date display. The result of their mission is what you see before you, the Bremont U-22 watch, a remarkable timepiece that remains true to its aviation roots but with some notable improvements.
The 43mm stainless steel case of this Bremont U-22 Bronze watch continues to be created using the brand‰۪s famous Trip-Tick construction but has now been complimented with a unidirectional rotating bezel fitted with a compass markings making it an essential tool for navigation weather mapping. The case is also fitted with a new bronze barrel inspired by the coating used on cockpit canopies alongside classic sapphire crystal glass with anti-reflective treatment. Housed within the case and exposed through the exhibition case back, the BE-36AE automatic movement powers the hour, minute and seconds function and the newly shaped day and date window at 3 o clock which has now been designed to reflect the view on an altimeter. Each of these functions are presented neatly on a grey metal dial decorated with Superluminova coated hand and indices which pairs beautifully with the sophisticated stainless steel bracelet.
